Hey, I did order this one and it was the last one left on Amazon for .99 with free shipping TO BOOT. It got here in less than 48 Hrs. As for the sound quality, not much different from the Panasonic “tape” machine that crapped out on me after 14 years. While recording your greeting, don’t get too close to the mic, which is hidden under where it says mic on the bottom of this unit, over-modulation ( distortion ) generally, a bad sounding greeting will be the result. It works fine and the poor sound others have mentioned is false. Works just fine, if you need a 00.00 machine, go buy one !!!! GREAT DEAL FOR THE MONEY SPENT !! Voice prompts built into this device are an easy setup and playback from remote calls. The only drawback is Only 15 Min. of rec. time. Thats good for me, maybe not you. On the road the “voice prompts” prompt you for anything you want to do from listening to messages, to totally wiping them all out. No real need to carry a remote command card in your wallet/purse, it asks you what you want to do. You can skip old calls and get to “only” the new ones as well. BEST BUY FOR THE BUCKS !! VERY EASY TO USE !!!

I am generally pretty happy with the phone. One thing to note is that the answering machine doesn’t have time stamps, not important to me but maybe to others.

I have had this answering machine for about 6 months. Sound is clear, clock sets automatically if you have caller-id service. It works great. The only draw-back is that it makes a popping noise whenever it answers a call when the volume is at minimum. Since I like to use it to answer calls when I don’t want to, like when I have company or sleeping, the popping is a bit annoying. The phone cord that comes with it is not detachable from the machine, however you can use the aux phone jack on the back of the machine as the phone input and you can use the permanently installed line for an aux phone. In other words, it doesn’t matter which you use as the phone line input since they are simply connected parallel inside the machine, as in any phone line hook-up.

I love this phone! Works great and has a good battery life. I purchased this for my 88 year old father who can’t see the display fast enough on a normal caller ID phone. Hearing it allows him to answer faster not to mention he can choose not to answer if he doesn’t recognize the spoken name or doesn’t want to talk to the person calling. This phone even allows you to block annoying calls which come in to your home. I’m not going to get too much into this phone just trust me! I seriously think most people will like this phone! It even comes with 2 handsets so it has a good price for what it does. Clear audio on the phones however sometimes I’ve lost a connection from the base. Really I think it’s the frequency and not the phone. Don’t let that discourage you the phone is very good and comes from a very reliable company, Panasonic. I’ve never had anything Panasonic makes been a bad item and that goes back to 1973! I also purchased one of these units for myself for Christmas! So really if you are considering buying a talking caller ID phone, get this one!
